I have lived in Cumming Georgia just north of Alpharetta all my life. We have seen a lot of changes along the way. Cumming Lawn Service wanted to add this blog for several reasons. The main goal is to allow the home owners and small business owners of the Cumming and Alpharetta area to know what is out there for them when they are looking for a lawn maintenance. Or landscape maintenance company for their property.
I had no desire in bragging or knocking any type person or company. However we wanted to give you the pros and cons of each type lawn and landscape company. I have been at a couple of these levels myself in building Cumming Lawn Service. Back when Cumming and Alpharetta were a really small towns, a lot of the license and insurance wasn’t quite as important as it is now. The Differences
Weekend Warriors:
- The Weekend Warriors are those with that have a full-time job but need extra income. This provider will pick up some properties to mow and keep just enough to keep busy for the weekend. Or maybe someone that works for public service or hospital staff who is on for a few days and off for a few days. Normally will only takes care of the mowing.
Pros: If you are looking for bi-weekly or weekly service at a cheap price. If you don’t mind the service missing visits from time to time. Always having the owner to speak with each visit. These service providers are plentiful in Cumming Georgia.
Cons: Possible lack of consistency, could show up early on weekends, could be hard to reach at times, possibly mowing while guess are in. No License or Insurance. May not offer any other service except mowing and trimming, possibly not having the proper equipment at it best shape for the job.
Seasonal Services Only:
2. Seasonal services only work in the season. Example they will mow April through October and won’t come any other time of the year.
Pros: If the area needing service is open turf no trees or shrubs this service is good for the consumer, normally a lower priced service, If the consumer only wishes for bi-weekly service.
Cons: Possible inconsistency in service and billing, all services for your landscape may not be offered, no license or insurance, May be hard to reach if needed, possibly not having the proper equipment at it best shape for the job.
A full-time Unlicensed Company
3.A full-time company “unlicensed” (I don’t want to say anything against anyone, that isn’t the goal of this article. The goal is to allow the consumer to see what is available in the Cumming Georgia area and decide what is best for them.)
Pros: Lower prices, offers most services needed in the landscape, more knowledgeable than the providers listed above.
Cons: No license or insurance, may not have the options for multiple services.
Full Time Licensed Company
- Full Time Licensed Company: This company will offer all services, have subcontractors to help with services they may not offer, knows their industry well.
Pros: Fully licensed and insured, offers all services, has multiple contractors to help the consumer take care of any outdoor project. Looks out for your landscape proactively, very consistent, billing is always on time, flow of service is smoother, someone is available to help you regularly.
Cons: Prices are higher, may require a package agreement.
