Crew Leader (Potential Pay scale – $19 to $23 per hour)
It is the Crew Leaders job to figure out the most efficient strategy to complete the work on any given property.
Crew leader is responsible for efficiency, delegating what work each crew member does along with helping with mowing, edging, string trimming, blowing, weeding plant beds, pruning, cleanup of landscapes and landscaping debris, and blowing. Pine straw and or mulch installation along with some tree and plant installation as well. Responsible for all paper work related to the crew you are assigned to such as route sheets, fuel tickets, and any receipts that are picked up pertaining to any particular jobs. Driving landscape trucks along with duties around the shop as well. Being able to lead your group in to a well-maintained property is a must to be a crew leader.
Crew Member (Potential Pay scale – $17 to $20 per hour)
Following the direction of your supervisor and leader. Your responsibility will be to do each job assigned to you as neat as possible and as efficient as possible. Such as mowing, edging, string trimming, blowing, weeding plant beds, pruning, cleanup of landscapes and landscaping debris, and blowing. Pine straw and or mulch installation along with some tree and plant installation as well.
Driver Crew Member (Potential Pay scale – $19 to $21 per hour)
Following the direction of your supervisor and leader. Being the driver of the truck or truck and trailer of the crew, you are assigned to. Your responsibility will be to do each job assigned to you as neat as possible and as efficient as possible. Such as mowing, edging, string trimming, blowing, weeding plant beds, pruning, cleanup of landscapes and landscaping debris, and blowing. Pine straw and or mulch installation along with some tree and plant installation as well.
Driver Light Duty Crew Member (Potential Pay scale – $15 to $19 per hour)
Driving a crew around to each property. Also taking care of paper work, possibly mowing some with a lawn mower, weeing beds, picking up sticks etc. Mainly driving and handling some of the lighter duties required on a lawn maintenance visit. Possibly double checking behind the crew to ensure that the property is neat and all work was completed. (Last sentence is based on or depending on which crew or position you may be assigned too.
Lawn and Landscape maintenance mowing edging trimming blowing pruning weeding lite installation pine straw mulch etc:
- Supervises and participates with landscape technicians
- Responsible for driving trucks on public roadways. Therefore, a valid drivers license is required
- The candidate must provide a motor vehicle report to validate an acceptable driving history
- Candidate is responsible for daily job records. Must be able to read, write and speak English clearly
- Maintains client’s properties in the very best possible condition, to include leaves, weeds and debris from the shrub beds and plant canopy or interior of plants.
- Mow and trim lawns
- Trim shrubs and prune trees using appropriate equipment (such as push or zero turn mowers, string trimmer, pruners, etc.
- Learn the basic operation and setting of the standard irrigation controller
- Practice crew safety and proper use and maintenance of power equipment
- Assist in maintaining the professional appearance of company facilities and grounds
Performance Standard
All maintenance will be performed in a timely and professional manner so as to meet the requirements of the job as outlined by the work order. Situations may be brought to the attention of MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR for resolution. Maintenance Technicians will comply with company policies and procedures to include employee handbook, safe operation of tools and equipment, and all other landscaping installation requirements. Valid complaints by either management, customers, or co-workers will be the exception–cooperation, production, and customer satisfaction are expected (process outlined in employee handbook). Our MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS should set the example for their co-workers and will be both held accountable and rewarded for their behavior and performance.
