Cumming Lawn Service
Time of The Year
May is a nice month for landscapes. Normally, it is not too hot yet. The shrubs are flourishing and the grass is coming in nicely. If there are warm, drier weeks during this month it would be ok to water the lawn. I encourage you not to water too much or too often. One and a half to two inches in a seven day period is sufficient for your lawn. Watering more than this could bring potential problems. For questions about watering please feel free to contact us. May is also a good month to add sod or do sod repairs; it will root quickly. May is also a good time for sanding low areas. In Fescue lawns the peak growing time is over. We have to start looking for brown patch. If you notice small or large brown places in your Fescue that we may miss let me know. I can let you know some solutions.

The Bennett Family
“We hired Hal and his team because of a personal relationship. We feel as if they are part of our family. They also gave us prompt and professional service when we called. We had another company for 10 years. We received a letter from that company stating they would no longer be providing service. I thought how can I ever replace them. I noticed Hal and his crew in our neighborhood so I gave him a call. Guess what? My yard looks even better than it did!
Thanks Hal and your crew! Great Job!!”
The Green Family
“Hal and his crew have been providing us with great lawn service for 2 years now. Hal is always on time and does what he tells me he's going to do. His consistency in our neighborhood is what convinced me to hire his company.
Keep up the good work!”
More from the heritage stories of my family. The Pruitt family was the 9th family to move into Forsyth County. We have a long history in this area. All the Pruitt family farmed their land and does so even to this day. My father Harold planted 350 tomato plants 2 years ago and sold 1000 lbs of tomatoes off those plants. My grandfather however was the last to farm for a living. Another link in my family that some might remember, is at one time my dad and his brother Carter owned Pruitt's Furniture and Appliance in Cumming and Alpharetta. My aunt sold out just a few years ago. Sawnee EMC now owns the land where the last store was located. My great uncle Willis Pruitt owned a strip of buildings in downtown Alpharetta, where he ran a grocery and hardware store and he also farmed his land a little further north of there. The Pruitt family goes way back in self employment. This could only be possible with honesty, hard work, and great service. I will continue this same plan with Cumming Lawn Service. Thanks for working with us. Your business is very important to us.
